A henon

A polyon is a name coined by Holomanga to describe 0-dimensional polytopes to match the naming system of other polytopes, such as polytelon and polychoron.

List of Polya Edit

The only extant polyon is the henon, more commonly known as the point.

Etymology Edit

The name is a combination of poly- and -on, with no letters in between. It was created by extrapolating the SI-based system (e.g. polypeton, polyexon) backwards to 0 dimensions, which would be no prefix, and by analogy to dyad/ditelon/monad.
